The event will be followed by a field trip to the Concepcion area, about one hour by plane from Santiago. The region is very rich in visit opportunities, including:

  • Arauco’s Nueva Aldea Industralia Complex: Log merchandizing line, sawmill, plywood mill and pulp mill
  • CMPC’s nursery, plantations of radiata pine, Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus nitens and harvesting and field chipping operations
  • Volterra’s woodchip plant (Operated by Fulghum, and including production of biomass fiber)
  • Portuaria Cabo Froward’s woodchip loading terminal

We are planning a very busy, varied and productive three day field trip.

As at past events, we are planning a program of first-rate speakers to provide an informed outlook on current and expected demand for woodchip and biomass imports in the various markets, as well as available supply of woodchips and biomass from around the world.
